This virtual device retrieves what is currently playing on a Sirius XM satellite channel.

Channels can be changed manually using the dial button or by sending a command to the control data port. For example, an MP3 player could send a WHATSON command when the currently playing MP3 ends.

XM Radio can be used in a rack with an MP3 player and an MP3 Search device as it can be seen at QERIO.COM.

There are plans to extend this device to add configurable favourites and additional control commands.
